Here is important information regarding our Winter Bump Volleyball Classic Tournament. Please make sure you understand all the information provided and there are any questions, please contact Grand Strand Juniors.
All teams please check your status in the tournament and confirm the location.
Teams must meet an 12 night (4 rooms for 3 nights) hotel requirement for this Tournament.
Deadline for team drops is December 15th for a full refund
We have a number of teams on the waitlist. Accepted teams have until December 15th to drop and receive a full refund. Please let us know sooner if possible. Any drop between Dec. 15th and Dec. 29th will get a 50% refund. After Dec. 20th no refund for a team dropping out of the tournament.
Teams on the waitlist
If you are on the waitlist it means we have received your payment but could not accept you into the tournament because the division you entered was full. Your payment has not been deposited. You have a few options: 1) Move to Charleston in a division that has space. We have several spots in Charleston in our select divisions. 2) Remain on the waitlist for your division. 3) Withdraw from the tournament. Given the circumstances spots may open up at any time.
Rosters and JVA
The tournament is open to any affiliation. Following is JVA information to complete your rosters on AES. Coaches will need to have a printed roster at team check-in.
JVA Background Screening Event Roster REQUIREMENT

JVA now requires AAU or JVA screening…USAV is NOT approved!
-If you do not have a JVA or AAU screen, on the affiliations page, select None of the Above or AAU. Fill out all background screen information and pay the $38. It is a two year screen so you will not have to pay again next year. Then take the APS training.
-Upon completion of this registration, JVA does imports into AES 2-3 times a week. USAV registrations will be imported right away and the JVA registrations will be imported as soon as the screen and APS training is completed.
General
Open to teams of any Affiliation. Liberty Classic is part of the Toast of the Coast Volleyball Series. Winners will receive a free entry into the Coastal Classic Volleyball Championships June 5/6, 2027.
Teams must meet an 8 night (4 rooms for 2 nights) hotel requirement.
NEW ACCEPTANCE POLICY FOR 2027
Here are the steps:
- Teams will be accepted after completing the following requirements - ENTERING and PAYING
- Teams will be accepted in the timestamp order that they complete BOTH (entering and paying) requirements

Once Accepted, teams can begin the housing process. A final countdown for accepted teams will begin October 1. Teams will be given 3 weeks, ending October 21, to finalize a block of rooms and complete reservations.
- Teams who do not have an accepted status should not complete housing

If an accepted team does not meet their housing requirement by the October 21 deadline, they will be set to a pending or waiting status, depending on the division capacity
- Pending - if the division still has space available with no waitlist teams
- Waitlist - if the division is full and has a waitlist
- Teams will receive one notification email from the event informing you that your deadline is approaching
- Your spot will be subject to be filled by another team when status is changed from accepted to pending/waiting
- If you lose accepted status due to not completing your Housing, teams can request a refund for their entry fee. No refunds will be given after November 15.

Team Check-In Times and Procedures:
o Check-In Times will be Saturday from 7:00 am – 8:15 am for the morning wave and 2:00 – 3:15 for the afternoon wave but coaches are welcome to come by the tourney desk at any time.
o Coach or chaperone needs to check in before they can start playing. We tend to NOT require a roster from the coaches and certainly our officials are not going to be checking off players/coaches before the matches start. Generally speaking, we trust cheating is not taking place. Coach check in is literally checking in/signing our JVA coach check-in form, and getting your coach wristbands for the weekend.
o Yes, coaches will receive coach wristbands for the weekend. Max wristbands for each team is 4 (feel free to give to your chaperone/HUDL person).

All Day Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at each location
* To save yourself time bring exact change. Credit and debit cards take a bit longer. Friday nights are much less crowded. No checks.
Merchandise Sales
Events t-shirts and merchandise is available at the location. Every year we sell out so getting there early is important. Vendors will also be on hand — support local.
*A service fee is required for credit and debit card sales.
